To limit environmental pollution\, wastewater has to be treated; an overview of basic processes available for the treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater is given in wastewater treatment. \nUpon completion\, the participant should be able to : \n◎ Describe different biological processes and their engineering applications for wastewater treatment ◎ Categorize different air pollutants and distinguish the different physico-chemical and biological air pollution control techniques for particulate and gaseous contaminants; ◎ Apply basic thermodynamic principles to determine reaction rates of environmental processes under a given set of operating conditions
